Two qualify for equestrian regionals
In the second hunt seat show of the season, the Colby Community College equestrian team rode on Oct. 22 and 23 in Longmont, Colo. Makendra Hunt and Nellie Kaner qualified for regional competition after placing first in introductory equitation.
"The hunt seat team rode smart this weekend, and as a result, we had six class winners and two more riders qualify for regionals," said Coach Sara Jamison. "We now have several months to put in the hard work to prepare for the spring show season."
The equestrian team rides again in Lincoln, Neb., for a Nov. 12 western show hosted by the University of Nebraska Lincoln. The next hunt seat show is Feb. 4-5 in Colorado Springs.
