Horsemanship Summer Camps
General Information
The CCC Horsemanship Camps are designed to be both an educational and fun experience for youth. Campers are under supervision and direction by CCC Equestrian Coaches and team
members. Space is limited to 10 campers for each camp.
Colby Community College is pleased to offer the following sessions of Summer Horsemanship Camps:
Beginner Day Camp: July 30, 2025
This day camp is for beginner riders with limited experience. Camp will begin on Wednesday, July 30th with camper registration and horse check-in at 8:30am at the CCC Agricultural Center. The lunch meal and camp t-shirt will be provided. Camp will conclude at 3:30pm. Beginner Day Camp is for youth ages 5-10.
Overnight Camp: July 31-August 1, 2025
Campers must have two years of previous show experience and be aged 9-18. Camp will begin on Thursday, July 31st with camper registration and horse check-in at 8:30am at the CCC Agricultural Center. Camp will conclude on Friday, August 1st at 3:30pm. Campers will spend time riding and practicing both western and hunt seat if requested.
Camp Cost
$200 – Overnight Camp with personal horse
$225 – Overnight Camp with leased horse
$125 – Beginner Day Camp with personal horse
$150 – Beginner Day Camp with leased horse
This price includes tuition, meals, snacks, activities and a camp t-shirt.
Stalls or runs are also available to those campers coming in the night before for a Day Camp. However, if you are bringing your own horse and would prefer shavings, you are responsible for providing them. Campers are also responsible for supplying all hay, grain, buckets, grooming supplies, saddle, bridle, pads and any other necessary supplies to care for your horse.
Horse Information
Participants are encouraged to bring their own horses for use during camp. A limited number of CCC-owned horses will be available for lease at an additional cost. Campers who are bringing their own horses are required to provide the following prior to or at registration:
1. Health certificate (within 30 days)
2. Valid negative Coggins certificate (within 1 year)
3. Proof of current 5-way vaccination
4. Proof of current West Nile vaccination
Registration
Registration for the 2025 sessions will close July 25th, 2025.
Registration is limited to 10 campers per session and will be accepted and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Registration cutoff for both sessions is July 25th, or sooner if full. A waiting list will be established for registrations received after the camps are full. Confirmation of enrollment and additional information concerning the Summer Horsemanship Camps will be mailed/emailed after the registration is received.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made before July 16th will receive a full refund minus a 10% office fee.
Cancellations made after July 16th are non-refundable.
Instructors
The primary riding instructors for camp will be Colby Community College Equestrian Coaches supported by CCC Equestrian team members.
