Equestrian team opens hunt seat season
The Colby Community College equestrian team traveled to Boulder, Colo., Oct. 13-14 for the first hunt seat competition of the semester.
"We had a lot of success and were pleased with the performance of our riders with several top placings against a tough pool of competing teams," said Colby Head Coach Shanda Mattix.
The traveling group of 14 riders, mostly freshmen, competed against eight universities and one other community college.
Up next, the team heads to a western show Oct. 27-28 in Laramie, Wyo.
