Judgers Compete in South Dakota
The Colby Community College livestock judging team was recognized in several classes at the Sioux Empire Livestock Show Collegiate Livestock Judging Contest on Jan. 29 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Regan Stramel was the tenth-high individual overall in the sophomore division, tenth-high individual in oral reasons, and high individual in swine.
The freshman team was awarded sixth-high team in sheep and goats, second-high team in swine, tenth-high team in reasons, and eighth-high team overall.
Individually, the freshman also performed well. Tayton Lucas was recognized as the fourth-high individual in sheep and goats, and Kyle Cohick was twelfth-high individual in swine. Overall in the freshman division, Lucas was seventeenth-high individual, and Mason Roberts was twentieth.
One hundred ninety-six students represented 16 schools at the event.
