Bio

Jessica Bugbee was hired as head coach of the CCC equestrian team in 2023.

Horses have always been a part of Bugee's life. Hailing from southeast Kansas, she began showing in dressage and taking lessons in jumpers around age 8. Several years later, her family purchased their first reining horse and began breeding performance horses, producing several NRHA money earners. After graduating high school in 2010, she spent the summer interning at McQuay Stables in Tioga, Texas, with NRHA professionals Tim McQuay and Marco Ricotta. In 2015, she took a job as an assistant trainer for NRCHA professional EJ Laubscher of Colby, Kansas.

Bugbee showed on the CCC equestrian team western and hunt seat teams from 2010-2012. She is a member and competitor in the NRHA, NRCHA, and AQHA, garnering earnings and points in NRCHA and AQHA events.

She currently resides in Colby, where she offers lessons for 4H and youth riders.
