Western Riders in Lincoln Before Hosting Regionals
The Colby Community College equestrian team won the reserve high point team and had six class wins in a western show on Feb. 11 at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Makendra Hunt qualified for regionals in Beginner Horsemanship.
"We had a great show. It makes me incredibly proud to be their coach and see hard work pay off," said Head Coach Adrianne Schaunaman. "Our team rode really strong and had several class winners."
The Trojans are preparing to host a busy weekend of western competition on Feb. 25 and 26 at the college farm east of Colby. The Western Regionals will be held on the 26th.
