Bacon Signs with the University of Buffalo
Colby Community College all-conference setter Kyndal Bacon recently signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Buffalo, in Buffalo, N.Y. The Bulls of UB participate in the Division I Mid-American Conference.
With the Trojans in 2018 and 2019, Bacon was a two-time All-Jayhawk Conference first-team selection. The 5-foot-8 Newton, Kan., native was recognized seven times as the conference setter of the week. She ranks third in program history with 2,058 assists.
"Kyndal made a big impact on our program right when she stepped on campus, and we knew she would continue to do great things after Colby," said CCC head coach Carey Jones. "She worked hard to get the job done in the classroom, on the court, and was involved in many extracurricular activities at the college and in our community."
During Bacon's career, the Trojans went 51-11, finishing twice as Jayhawk Conference runners-up while being nationally ranked each season.
"Kyndal was a big part of the success we had the past two seasons," Jones added. "She took control of our team on the court, had such composure at all times, and was always competing. We are very proud of her time here but are excited for her to continue making a difference at the next level."
