Two Trojans earn POTW honors
Bacon, Choloux lead Trojans to win over Butler
Colby Community College outside hitter Claire Choloux was named the week two Kansas Jayhawk Community College Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Kyndal Bacon was selected as Setter of the Week.
Chouloux, a freshman from France, helped Colby win its conference home opener with her first double-double of the season, going for 13 kills and 12 digs. She also tallied one solo block and one block assist to help the Trojans win in three sets over Butler.
Bacon, a first-team all-KJCCC setter in 2018, averaged 10.6 assists per set and tallied six kills on only eight attempts against Butler. The sophomore from Newton also had 10 digs.
The next home game for the Trojans, now 9-1 and 2-0 in KJCCC play, is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with Independence Community College.
