Gorgijevska named POW

As she did in 2017, Colby Community College volleyball player Nina Gorgijevska (Potsdam, Germany) opened the season being named the week one Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference defensive player of the week.  It is the third time in her CCC career she has earned the recognition.

The 5-foot-7 libero began her sophomore season at the Southeast Community College tournament Aug. 24-25 with 54 digs, averaging 4.15 per set.  She also passed a 2.5 in serve receive on 51 attempts over the course of 13 sets. Gorgijevska tallied eight aces over the weekend as well.

Gorgijevska and the Lady Trojans are 5-0 this season with a 1-0 conference record. They return to the court Saturday for a 2 p.m. start with Independence at the Community Building.
