Track and Field Indoor competes at the Ichabod Invite
TOPEKA, Kan. - The Colby Track and Field programs concluded their regular season indoors last weekend at the Ichabod Invite on Friday and Saturday.
TOPEKA, Kan. - The Colby Track and Field programs concluded their regular season indoors last weekend at the Ichabod Invite on Friday and Saturday. The two programs will now compete at the Region VI Indoor Championships at Pittsburg, Kansas, on February 17th and 18th.
Highlights from this past weekend's meet include Ann Badawi achieving a personal record and national qualifier in the 800m, Ashley Tharp setting a personal record in the women's 400m, Van Forbes Jr. achieving a personal record in the men's 60m, and Anita Afrifa finishing 8th in the 200m. Additionally, Tara Bert improved her ranking to 16th in the nation in the mile, Cayde de Waal qualified for nationals with a personal record in the mile, and Kgadi Monyebodi secured 3rd place in a thrilling men's 3k race, ranking 4th nationally. Sibonelo Khumalo set a personal record and ranked 14th in the nation in the men's 3k, while Rosemary Arthur achieved a personal record and finished 8th in the women's 3k, ranking 8th nationally. Armonie Jones and Michael Daviel both set personal records in the men's hurdles, and Tremaine Browne finished 9th in the men's long jump.
