COLBY, Kan. - The Colby Community College Trojans women's basketball fell in a physical game to the nationally recognized Butler Community College, 50-34. The Trojans are now 13-12 overall and 8-11 in the KJCCC.
The Trojans got out of the gate well and held a two-point lead after the first quarter. As the game continued, the offensive woes showed up as the shots weren't falling, and untimely live ball turnovers couldn't be overcome. Another strong defensive effort couldn't solve the issues in a competitive game.
The Trojans will host Pratt Community College on Saturday, in a needed win to stay in the hunt for a home game in the first round of the region playoffs. Saturday's game will tip off at 2 PM CT in the Colby Event Center.
