Guillory returns to Texas to play for Tarleton State
After graduating last month from Colby Community College, women's basketball player Kaitlyn Guillory signed to play with Division II Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
"Kaitlyn gives us size on the perimeter and she is extremely effective on both sides of the ball," TSU coach Misty Wilson said in a press release. "She gained valuable experience playing in a tough junior college conference, and that should serve her very well in this tough Lone Star Conference."
Guillory, a 5'8" guard from Keller, Texas, averaged 12.1 points and 8.7 rebounds a game as a sophomore. She posted 16 double-doubles on the season, including a 24-point, 17-rebound effort in her final game as a Trojan. Her 77.3 free throw percentage ranked fifth in the Jayhawk West.
"She is one of the best rebounding guards I have seen recently, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to help her team win," Wilson added. "I believe she will be a great addition to our program and I am excited to coach her for the next two years."
