The Colby Community College record books changed while five Trojans on the indoor track and field teams hit national qualifying times at the Washburn Open on Jan. 28 and 29 in Topeka.
Sophomore Regan Hodsden won the women's 5k with an 18:25.58 performance. The achievement places her seventh in program history and currently ranks third in the country.
With their qualifying marks in the men's 5K, Sanele Masondo (14:54.17) moved up to No. 4 all-time at Colby, and Remi Chavenaud (15:06.52) sits seventh on the list.
Ricardo Barbosa qualified in the men's mile with a 4:15.78 finish and now owns the fifth-best time at CCC.
Barbosa (1:56.10) also qualified in the 800m, joining teammate Mohammed Baghati (1.56.72).
The Trojans compete again Saturday at the Northwest State University Bearcat Open in Maryville, Mo.
