Trojans fall 84-73 to Barton

COLBY, Kan- In a thrilling matchup between Colby Community College and Barton Community College on January 11, 2025, Colby fell to the Barton Cougars with a final score of 84-73. The Trojans put up a strong fight with a solid performance off the bench from Gaius Meowuru M'Ella who had 19 points shooting 7-8 from the field. Khadir Muhammad added 13 points for the Trojans. The loss brings Colby to 10-7 overall and 5-6 in conference play. 

The Trojans led the way with 28 rebounds in the game while the Cougars had 26. Both teams' shooting was efficient. Colby shot 51.9% from the field, and Barton shot 48.4%. 

Overall, it was an exciting game with both teams showcasing their talent on the court. 

The Trojans play again on the road against Fort Hays Tech Northwest on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:30 PM CST.
