Sharp selected as All-American
Future Missouri State guard named to first-team
After being named to the Jayhawk Conference and Region VI first teams, former Trojan Demarcus Sharp is now a member of the NJCAA Division I men's basketball All-America first team.
As a sophomore, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard averaged 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. He appeared in all 32 contests on his way to earning Jayhawk West offensive player of the year and defensive player of the year honors. Defensively, he had a conference-best 2.5 steals per contest. Sharp, from Charleston, is returning to his home state and play for the Missouri State Bears.
