Lady Trojans win in three over Butler
The Colby Community College Lady Trojans volleyball team swept Butler County in three games Friday night at the Colby Community Building, 25-17, 25-22, and 26-24. The win marked the tenth straight for CCC.
The Lady Trojans continued their dominance with a balanced attack. Six different players had at least four kills, led by Sophomores Aleksandra Malek (12) and Singryd Valadares (7). Freshmen Taylor West and Melanie Loiseau each had five kills, and sophomores Kendra Kelley and Taylor Barrett added four a piece. Defensively, sophomore Maja Jankovic had a game high 15 digs.
The Lady Trojans hold a second place 3-1 record in the Jayhawk West and are 10-1 overall. They play the next several games on the road beginning tonight in Great Bend against Barton County. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
