Three Trojans to wrestle at universities
Rojas, Moody, Jackson commit
Former Trojans Andy Rojas, Dalton Moody, and Sean Jackson will continue their academic and wrestling careers at the university level next fall.
Rojas will move north to Nebraska and grapple for the Hastings College Broncos, who are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Originally from Lexington, Neb., he wrestled in the 133-pound weight class for CCC.
Moody will take his talents to Laurinburg, N.C., as a member of the Knights at St. Andrews University, an NAIA school. The Liberal native wrestled at 149 pounds as a Trojan.
The 197-pound Jackson will return to his hometown of Kearney, Neb., to compete for the Division II University of Nebraska Kearney Lopers. He was a two-time district placer and qualified for the national tournament in 2020.
"I am very proud of these amazing young men and can't wait to see what the future holds for them," said CCC Head Coach Mitch Houghton.
