Colby fell late at Cowley 62-47

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. - Colby Community College fell to Cowley College 62-47 on the road as they returned to KJCCC action after winter break. In what the coaching staff considered a winnable road game, the Trojans came up short in a final score not indicative of the game's competitiveness. Once again, the early live ball turnovers and 12 missed free throws ultimately saw the visitors drop the contest.  

"I thought we competed all game, but once again, the live ball turnovers and missed free throws did us in. We have a mental challenge when we get in the game, resulting in poor decisions throughout the game. We work well and have improved a ton and in so many ways, but we just can't get it all put together to come out on top. Back to practice with more games ahead. " stated Coach Darin Spence.  

The Trojans are now 4-8 on the year, and 0-7 in the KJCCC. Colby will host currently ranked No. 3 Butler at the Colby Event Center at 2 p.m. CT.
