Rodeo Builds on Fall Semester Highlights
The CCC rodeo team had a solid fall semester, competing in four rodeos with a roster of eight sophomores and nine freshmen.
The Colby Community College rodeo team had a solid fall semester, competing in four rodeos with a roster of eight sophomores and nine freshmen.
"The team as a whole has been working hard and showing lots of improvement," said Coach LeRoy Hays. "We know some things we need to work on in the off-season."
The Trojans will resume competition at Kansas State University on Feb. 16, 17, and 18.

Colby, Sept. 15-17
Steer wrestling: Wesley King, 21st out of 43.
Barrel racing: Payton Nelson, 59th out of 149.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant, Okla., Sept. 28-30
Steer wrestling: King tied for 11th and 12th; made short-go and placed 8th out of 45.
Barrel racing: Alaura Crockett-Armijo was 78th out of 157.
Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla., Oct. 19-21
Breakaway roping: Emma Brungardt tied for 13th and 14th out of 171 entries.
Steer wrestling: Evan Bottini was 20th out of 45 entries.
Tie-down roping: Bottini placed 24th out of 75 entries.
Team roping: Ethan Miller and Bottini were 24th of 96 entries.
Barrel racing: Emma Krase was 71st out of 171 entries.
Northwest Oklahoma State University, Alva, Okla., Oct. 26-28
Tie-down roping: Bottini placed 37 out of 75.
Steer wrestling: Rylan Hays was 19th out of 47.
Goat tying: Brungardt was 38th out of 60.
Barrel racing: Nelson was 55th out of 173.
