Cross Country's Chavenaud signs LOI
Colby Community College men's cross country runner Remi Chavenaud signed a National Letter of Intent with the Braves of Bradley University.
Chavenaud, who is graduating in December with a 3.6 GPA, will start the spring semester in Peoria, Ill., with his new school.
This season, the sophomore from Dieppe, France, earned all-Region VI cross country honors with an eighth-place finish. As a freshman, he was a member of the 2021 cross country squad that won the region and placed third nationally. In his lone track season as a Trojan, he turned out all-region performances in the 3000m indoor and the 1000m and 1500m outdoor competitions.
"Remi has been a special member of our team for the past year and a half," said CCC cross country coach Brady Johnson. "He's always brought a positive attitude and has been a great person to represent our program. He has also been a reliable student on our team, and I have never had to worry about him taking care of his academics. I wish he could spend four years here, but he will go onto Bradley and continue to do great things at his new school."
