Bio

Kyle is the son of David and Sherrill Sasse. He grew up near Smith Center, Kan., on a diversified family operation that raises wheat, corn, and milo, as well as a herd of registered Gelbvieh and Red Angus cows. Growing up around cattle, Kyle quickly developed a passion for the livestock industry and especially registered seed stock cattle. He takes an active role in his family’s annual production sale. Kyle was also involved heavily in 4-H and FFA. He exhibited cattle at the county, state and national level and is a member of the American Gelbvieh and Kansas Junior Associations. Kyle was drawn to Colby Community College for the animal science program and the livestock judging team. He believes that being on the judging team will allow him to make industry connections and gain additional knowledge for his cow herd.
