Bio

Gaven is the daughter of Kelly Wocicki and Chris Murphy. She grew up in Shoshoni, Wyo., on a livestock ranch and was involved in 4-H and FFA and exhibited sheep, goats, hogs and horses throughout the state. She enjoys being around livestock and plans to continue to play a role in animal agriculture after college. Gaven was competitive in track and cross country during high school and was drawn to Colby for both the agriculture program and the track team. She is majoring in equine sciences and became interested in the livestock judging team after arriving at Colby. She plans to continue her education in Oklahoma after graduation and feels the opportunities she is getting from livestock judging will benefit her throughout her future.
