Former Trojan Logan Hofmann named All-American

Former all-conference pitcher Logan Hofmann didn't seem to miss a beat after leaving Colby. The junior right-hander earned second-team All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball Magazine on Tuesday as a member of the Northwestern State University Demons.
In a season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 5-10, 190-pound hurler made the most of his four starts. He threw 28 innings without an earned run to lead the nation. His four wins tied for second nationally while leading the Southland Conference with 38 strikeouts.
At CCC from 2017-2019, the Muenster, Saskatchewan, Canada, native was a two-time first-team all-conference and all-region selection. He also claimed Jayhawk Conference pitcher of the year honors as a sophomore. Last summer, he was chosen in the 35th round by the St. Louis Cardinals during the Major League Baseball player draft.
